Flu Shots

These only will be available to those patients who are considered high risk.  This includes:

• Patients 50 years and older
• Patients with COPD/asthma
• Patients with heart disease, chronic kidney disease or liver disease
• Patients with diabetes
• Patients with immune suppression from medications or HIV
• Patients with certain cognitive or congenital problems

Dr. Dobyns went to the Couer D'Alene Reservation in Idaho the end of July for a week of NHSC relief.

Dr. Dobyns will be going to Exuma, Bahamas in the Fall for her semi-annual medical mission:  Bahamas Wellness.  She is getting her Bahamaian medical license.  Congratulations Dr. Dobyns!

Dr. Nieroda volunteered her time and medical expertise in Cali, Columbia in South America in March.  She provided medical care for the poor and underpriviledged.  She has done this yearly for the past 3 years!

Ms. Meade will be attending the Pri-Med MidAtlantic Conference, "Current Clinical Issues in Primary Care" in December.  This is a 3 day program developed and presented by nationally recognized faculty from Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Dobyns and Dr. Nieroda recently attended the "24th Annual Review of Geriatric Medicine 2008", in Boston provided through Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
